Facebook Bank is Evolving

Apparently Facebook wants to be an even bigger part of users' lives. Someday, you'll probably be able to make payments from your Facebook account -- no need to login to your bank anymore.

Facebook is testing banking services with an Australian bank, and you can be sure that the goal is to go global. A basic transaction might be that you send money to friends (think about times when you owe somebody for a shared expense like a meal). But Facebook also wants to add more horsepower, possibly allowing you to make online bill payments and get help from bank representatives online.

If you've been paying attention, you know that Facebook has a lot of information about you -- but most of your financial transactions are not part of that data set. If Facebook Bank takes off, that's sure to change.
